Thank you for coming to the Private View. I created this to invite collectors into a preview of what can be found in the studio at Oremandsgaard, as well as to serve your curiosity about details such as sizes, prices and close-ups of the work.
My practice has evolved from establishing myself on the art scene, exhibiting internationally with galleries and being represented by them, to nourishing a calling that is totally aligned with my vision of creating and sharing my art. This means every work is presented and sold by me. There is no middleman — when you buy an original, you are in contact with Jakob Steen.
I love the interaction with my collectors, and I care that a work does not end up in a garage or a storage unit as an investment for future gains. My work hangs in hundreds of homes around the world. That is what gets me into the studio in the morning, and why I exhibit only in places I have chosen with care.
I ask for your name and your email, and send a code to it, so the room stays between people who mean to be here.
I keep that. Nothing is passed on, nothing is sold, and there is no advertising here. The record of what was looked at is deleted after a year.
I may write to you when there is new work.
Any questions, or if you want to unsubscribe: jakob@jakobsteen.com. Write to me and I’ll delete everything I hold about you.
I hereby welcome you into my world and look forward to hearing from you if you find interest in any work.
